Real-time mutual verification. Bypasses chat apps. Instantly exposes MITM attacks and deepfakes.
In today's digital landscape, a simple verification badge is no longer enough. Advanced AI and deepfake technologies allow fraudsters to easily steal identities and impersonate legitimate users. To solve this, we invented The Handshake, a secondary layer of protection that proves you are talking to the real person, not an impostor.
Imagine you are chatting with someone who sends you a verified QR code or link. To confirm their identity, you simply initiate a Handshake by selecting a specific challenge question. This challenge is sent directly to the actual owner of that identity, bypassing the chat window where a scammer might be lurking.
The real owner then responds to your challenge, and we send their answer directly to your email. If the answer doesn't match your current conversation, you know instantly that you are dealing with a fraudster.
1. Initiation: Your partner clicks your Approved Verification Result Link or scans your QR code.
2. Challenge Setup: They enter their email and create a private challenge question like: "What is my username?" OR "What is my phone number?"
3. Identifier Generated: They instantly receive a 12-digit secure code on their screen.
4. The Signal: They send that 12-digit code to you through the chat app you are already using (Reddit, Facebook, Telegram, X, etc.). NB: The challenge question is NOT to be shared.
5. Matching: You receive an email from [email protected]. The email references the same 12-digit code.
7. Results: We send an email with the response to the person who created the challenge. For example: The owner of this verified ID is chatting with "Username: ABC", on "Platform: XYZ"
8. Verification Complete: They verify the response to the challenge. If everything matches, the handshake is successful.
One of the most dangerous and common scams today. A fraudster makes a duplicate of the real person's profile. When a victim contacts the fake profile, the fraudster then contacts the real owner pretending to be the victim. In simple words, the fraudster positions themselves between a victim and a legit profile, pretending to be both, relaying messages and changing important details like payment, address, etc.
Video calls are no longer proof of identity. AI can now modify faces and voices in real-time.
The Handshake proves you are speaking to the real owner of the verified identity, not someone relaying messages.
A scammer may know the victim's username, but they are chatting with the real owner of the Approved Verification Result Link and QR Code from a different account or platform.
The victim will receive an email from us saying:
"The verified owner of this ID is speaking to @Scammer99 on Facebook Messenger."
If they refuse the handshake, CUT ALL TIES IMMEDIATELY!
