Imagine you are chatting with someone who sends you a verified QR code or link. To confirm their identity, you simply initiate a Handshake by selecting a specific challenge question. This challenge is sent directly to the actual owner of that identity, bypassing the chat window where a scammer might be lurking.
The real owner then responds to your challenge, and we send their answer directly to your email. If the answer doesn't match your current conversation—you know instantly that you are dealing with a fraudster.
1. Initiation: Your partner clicks your Approved Verification Result Link or scans your QR code.
2. Challenge Setup: They enter their email and create a private challenge question like: “What is my username?” OR "What is my phone number?"
3. Identifier Generated: They instantly receive a 12-digit secure code on their screen.
4. The Signal: They send that 12-digit code to you through the chat app you’re already using (Reddit, Facebook, Telegram, X, etc.). NB: The challenge question is NOT to be shared.
5. Matching: You receive an email from sales@safetradeservices.com. The email references the same 12-digit code.
7. Results: We send an email with the response to the person who created the challenge. For example: The owner of this verified ID is chatting with "Username: ABC", on "Platform: XYZ"
8. Verification Complete: They verify the response to the challenge. If everything matches, the handshake is successful.
